Re: Starter Motor Problem

Last time I had that problem it turned out to be a dodgy battery terminal. If I turned they key with the bonnet open you could see the terminal sparking when the starter kicked in.

I'v got a similar problem with puddles of water appering in the footwells every time it rains, but never had any water in the heater. Are you sure the heater matrix isnt leaking?

Re: hmmm think i might finally sort out rear discs...

I used that write up when i did mine. Its all pretty straight forward and works really well. The worst bit is cutting the disc holders out of the old drums, especially as i cut them the wrong size and had to do it twice.

Worth it just to get rid of those troublesome drums.

Re: carb back firing

Sound like a timing issue to me. Are you sure the timing is not 180 degress out? Have you got the ht leads in the right order?

Re: SJ vs Vitara axles

If he could make a ff kit for a 413 axle it should end up the same length as a standard samurai axle.

Re: RW full float

Not heard anything but I'd definitely be interested if he did have something in the pipeline.

Made a start on converting my Sammy axles the other day, so I'm going to be in the market for one very soon.

Re: Hardened shafts

Nothing wrong with Rocky road. Iv had a 100% success rate with them so far (on my one order).

That being said I'm am planning on getting some of those shafts very soon and will definitely be getting the ones from lowrange.
