Just the sammi now to put back on the road although i think its going to take many a long evening in the garage with welder and metal shears in hand and grinder in the other to bring it back to life.

Sounds like a plan substitute air bag for resistor and if it is the air bag it should clear. One thing that does cross my mind did you recheck the code using the test connector as it only gives you the last reported problem could be something else now. Yep whip fuse out let it discharge the system for ten mins. There are two torx screw which are underneath two plastic plugs on the steering wheel at the side. That is exactly what i had on my GV. Could be the clock spring but issues with that would also mean the horn and any other controls fitted to the steering possibly would not work. Once i realised that it was the drivers airbag which was at fault i did some internet searching on the boy racer sites a...

If the system is similar to the GV the fuse is actual separate to the fuse box and is in the airbag wiring loom. Follow the yellow sleved wiring under the dashboard it could be in inline fuse holder

Hi the jimny should have a shorting connector behind the panel below the steering wheel. Basically all the air bag wiring is protected by a yellow sleeve and the connectors are yellow. Yippee 1600 GV soft top passed its MOT two advisory's tyre nearing limit and two rust brake pipes. I even got it done a week early which is unheard of. :D pes.

Has anyone had the same problem or is it me. Every year since i have had my gv I've gone over stuff before the mot just so that there are no surprises.
