Re: 6 x 9's
I hope I haven't spoken to soon for you!!! Covering it all up and turning the music down before you arrive anywhere that you might leave it would hopefully stop unwanted attention. I don't think people would expect an SJ to have a good stereo in it anyway. I'm amazed that CD players can play in an S...

Re: cutting the back off my sj410 van type
As has been said, get a soft top and a fast back top. So much less hassle. Also, if I had a van, I'd want to keep it that way. There aren't too many of them about and whilst i own a soft top and have driven it from Essex to wales and back and to the Lakes and came back from the Lakes in a van, the v...

Re: converion plates
I have thought of this converstion for our 410 too but i don't think that there is a converstion plate for the 410 as most SJ's tend to be 413's. All is not lost though. I think you can just bolt in a 413 gearbox and use a converstion kit such as that from Rob Storr - http://www.worcester-technologi...

Re: 6 x 9's
Is any SJ, hard or soft top secure enough to put expensive stereo kit in and expect it to stay in?
Just a thought to save you tears when scum take it from you and leave you with a wet cold seat covered in glass.

Re: front wings and arches help
I think the wings are mostly bolt on with a couple of spot welds that probably don't need spot welding bak into place after in the engine bay. Grind those off and unbolt and replace with goood 2nd hand wings from the likes of Neil at Rhinoforce.

Re: My Jimny
Hi there, It was £3k from Darren at KAP witht he basic mods - suspension lift, wheels + tyres. I couldn't have bought a similar quality truck and modded it with new kit myself for that money so I thought I may as well buy it done! It shares many of the same principles as the SJ, except of course the...

Re: suspension lifting shackles help needed
With respect to a reverse lift, I think youmean mounting the front spring shackles at the rear of the spring rather than at the front. This will solve the problem off road, but has the effect on road of making the vehicle shake like a very shakey thing and you'll not be able to use it. Sorry, but ST...

Re: My Jimny
Sorry for the late reply, I did not notice yours and have not been on here for a while! I think I'll be getting the rocksliders from Darren at KAP and no I've not changed the radius arms. I have castor corrected radius arms that came with the vehicle but not on it and I've not got roudn to fitting t...

It's a bit flat in Essex though so we found other ways of making the sledge move quickly!!!
