Re: 4 TO 5 SPEED
Our 410 Santana came with a 5 speed out of the factory and as someone else has said, you really have to get it going before using 5th on a fast road, but the engine has enough torque for it to be used around town on the flat at 30, reducing noise and fuel consumption some what - and lets face it, bo...

Re: suspension lifting shackles help needed
I say DON'T DO IT also, your springs will be flat in no time and will be really soft and knackered. The reduction in approach angle is silly also. I put some on and took them straight back off!!! The bset way to lift and SJ in my view at the moment is to get KAP lifting springs and appropriate shock...

My Jimny
Hi there, Those that remember me from the old forum as Rob (Rob+Lindz) will remember that I spoke a bit on the Jimny. Total Off Road did an article on Rhino Ray's latest Jimny project in late 2008 suggesting that the SJ is dead and that the Jimny is here as it's replacement. I wrote a letter to them...

Re: why dont my indicators work ?
Hi there, I would check all the connections to everything concerned in the indicator system and replace any connection that has any sort of a question mark hanging over it. Our 410 is Spanish and has only presented electrical problems from age, not due to where it came from. It may be that the Spani...

Also, Halford's bulb no 12 is a modern uprated version of the original bulbs without having to get them by mail order.

Re: headlight bulbs
Hi there, I had the same problem but with my standard tea candle like bulbs and don't think it's because you are overloading it. The problem I had was a bad connection from the pin in this plug to the fuse board. As bottom plug to the fuse board is only an earth, and therefore it doesn't matter whic...

Re: Our SJ in Lakes, Yorkshire + Derbyshire Oct 08
They are all on OS Maps, although our friends did most of the research and spoke to the local Councils ang Glass reps, it's just a case of getting the right maps and joining Glass to ask the local rep what's good and what's not! Get your maps out and get out there, but don't go alone on many of thes...
