A compression test isn’t that hard to do, you will need a gauge and you can find a write up on line, a 410 is no different from any other motor. And yeah you will need to move mounts. The leak is probably where the distributor housing is bolted to the head. Have you checked the compression on the cylinders? Could be a valve or head gasket
