I have one thing stopping it from being finished i have a 65mm pipe in the old 1.3 air filter box, which needs connected to the box ontop of the 1.6 eng...

Re: Changed the fuel pump but theres something wrong
i tried taking the spare carb apart but i now hate it :argh: why does suzuki use so many bleeding star headed screws as opposed to something which doesnt slip like a torx head or a proper nut. Anyhow i put the airline up to the fuel pipes and the carb blew good and free, so that wasnt the problem th...

Re: Changed the fuel pump but theres something wrong
the standard carb looks like a disaster to take apart, the su would do well right now. Without a full stripdown is there any easy way to clean it out, perhaps put the high pressure airline up to it?
However i do have a spare carb sitting around i might practice the rebuild on it.

Re: squeaky steering
ive lost a lot of original screws round the dash and other places, the beauty of the suzuki is that the big box of screws i have after breaking a few vitaras theres always something to do. But anyhow i took the steering wheel off today and sprayed a bit of wd40 in behind it round the bearing and it ...

Re: squeaky steering
ok hopefully the steering wheel one will cure it, the steering rack just seems ackward, although like most things on the suzuki its exceptionally easy to do. One of these jeeps must be the perfect car to learn mechanicing on as im sort of doing, theres no stupid bits of trim with irreplaceable clips...
