Yes and yes

Same basic engine so same gearbox bolt hole position.

Best way to convert to carb would probably fit an su.

Little bit of an update: I managed to find a skinny starter on ebay so that solved that problem. The engine is now in place (well kind of), I am struggling to get the back of the gearbox to line up with the holes in the chassis. It's about 4mm too far back, a bit of brute force and ignorance should ...

The one I most concerned about is hose 20. As I'm fitting it to a 1.6 the exit for the water rail (or whatever it's called) isn't on the back, it's on the side :er:

Anyway this is 19 in position.

Get your inlet manifold adapted, rockwatt on hear does them the fit hif44 su. Mine was an 8v spi and I've converted to a carb.

19 is on & in place it's a little big lenght wise by a good fit, I'll put a pic up when I'm home.

Just compared them to the standard ones that I'm replacing. The bore size is spot on, maybe a little tight, but some of the pipe may be a bugger to fit as the shape isn't quite right, some worse than others.

The hoses arrived today, look good on first inspection but I'll let you know how good when I come to fit them.

Plenty of local clubs that arrange pay 'n' play's as well as greenlaning if your ever stuck for a bit of off roading.
