my 410 starts fine in any weather with no choke just pump peddle twice turn key and brum just a little throttle needed till it warms a tad and it runs sweet, but it is very very slow untill warm that's it rub it in :tongue: Twiss, whats the su carb off? everyone seems to have them but not a clue wh...

I'd say 20 minutes idling is a reasonable warm up time... if you drive it straight away it will warm up a lot quicker! Definitely the auto choke on your carb I would say. It's a well know problem area on SJs and some Vitaras. The carbs seem to just break at around 70k miles! It was horrible when mi...

Is it a standard 413 carb? Sounds like your choke idle is a bit high and needs adjusting. Also you shouldnt need to pump the peddle that much, I never pumped mine before starting it, just gave it a little bit of throttle as it starts, they don't like really cold mornings and can take a while to run...

started my sj this morning and it took atleast 20mins before it ticked over at 1000rpm ticks over at atleast 2000rpm or more before this. i also have to pump the accelerator about 10 times to get it started. just wondering if all sj's are a pain to get started and warmed up or mines just a bigger he...
