I'd say 20 minutes idling is a reasonable warm up time... if you drive it straight away it will warm up a lot quicker! Definitely the auto choke on your carb I would say. Is it a standard 413 carb? Sounds like your choke idle is a bit high and needs adjusting. Also you shouldnt need to pump the peddle that much, I never pumped mine before starting it, just gave it a little bit of throttle as it starts, they don't like really cold mornings and can take a while to run...
