Does anyone have any tips for renovating a tired looking dashboard, I have given it a good clean with soapy water and also tried white spirit but it has not made any difference, perhaps some leather rejuvinator would do it or even black boot polish. My rev counter also is failing it is stuck at 2000 revs but when I rev hard it does go up a bit but not correctly, where is the coil you mention and what does it do?
My speedo is also shaky but sort of works.

My Samurai is a great starter, it fires up as soon as you turn the ignition key. It has an automatic choke but this seems to stay on for too long, revving the engine unnecessarily and wasting fuel. Can this be adjusted? The service book only gives info on the manual choke.

I also have an oil leak which is all down the offside of the engine, it looks like the rocker cover is leaking so have ordered a new gasket.
