I did think that plastic was probably not the best material to use.
Perhaps they had run out of cheese or chocolate.
I may well replace them with those superior quality items as time/budget permits.

Re: Free wheeling hub problem
If I remove the wheel, it should be obvious how to take it to bits?
Do I need any special tools?

Re: Free wheeling hub problem
It is deffo broken.
The question is can I lock the hub some other way temporarily. And can I get a replacement part, or do I need a whole new hub?

Re: Free wheeling hub problem
I've had a search, but can't find the step by step.
Can anyone else point me to it.
I assume I'll need some new bits, as the plastic know is damaged. Is that bit replaceable?

Free wheeling hub problem
Just bought a Vitara.
One of the manual FWHs has stuck in Free position.
I tried turning it with gently with grips (as someone else has obviously done) & the plastic is just breaking away.
What's the best way to proceed?

Re: HELP ME!! i cant insure my zuk and dont want to sell her
Just before I got my vit, I did an online quote with directline.
3rd party, F&T was more expensive than fully comp.
There is obviously no logic to this, so keep trying.
Have you tried going with one of the companies that fit a tracker/monitor?

Re: HELP ME!! i cant insure my zuk and dont want to sell her
My bog-standard vit costs more to insure than my landy with 2" lift, large knobblies & winch etc.

Re: HELP ME!! i cant insure my zuk and dont want to sell her
One option would be to mothball your zuk until you have had your license a year & have some NCB.
Buy something reeeeeeally cheap to buy & insure until then.
