Re: Lwb daily drive and laner build
did you try shrinking it by heating and quenching with a oxy/acetalyne torch? we did that on my sj, seems to work a treat, fairly tricky to get it perfect, bit of a knack to figure out where to heat and quench though

Re: sj410 alternator issues
okay, trouble with alternators again, I hate these things! The "new" pickup needed a new battery, which I accidentally hooked up back to front, saw some smoke from the alternator, swapped it around, and all seems to work okay. then had an inkling it wasn't working, tested the output, about...

Re: Kiwizook's resto
she's back home, and all painted up, I can start the final assembly now. pics to follow if I can figure out how.
Also need to put a A frame on the other sj, so I can drag it around and go wheeling in it

Re: The (not so) white one
True! now that you mention it, I've seen it many times before, new paint always make little dents like that stand out. No body filler anywhere? can't be a true suzuki! :) really great to see you fix it such a great standard though, even though it will be used offroad, good way to keep a few more suz...

Re: Mikes kja hybrid challenge truck updated 07/06/2017

Re: The (not so) white one
you should have popped out those two little dents in the bonnet, they stick out like dogs danglies!

Re: Kiwizook's resto
Well, I seem to have to resize the pics first. The roof is filled, sanded and primed. We're now working on a few insignificant dents in the side and wings, then paint time! Also got another kja given to me, that's getting the radiator fixed at the moment. It will also donate it's bumper and bullbars...

Re: Kiwizook's resto
finally! the suzuki is now in a friend's workshop, one that knows the ins and outs of panelbeating. Roof is straight again, we shrinked it with the gas torch, and welded up a few of the last patches, and welded up a few seams. needs a few last welds, and filling now, but it's getting there!
