Re: 1.6 Engine into a SJ410

I've heard that the SJ 413 gearbox will fit directly into 'later' SJ410s Is my October 1989 SJ a 'later' one?

Re: Huw's '89 SJ 410

That's the 'short' to do list. There's another one for the little inconvenient things that I can live with for now. Like getting some proper window winders to replace the mole grips that I use to open the windows now and making some sort of roof rack so I can start using my kayak again!

Huw's '89 SJ 410

I thought I’d just start this thread showing what I’ve done and what I will do to my SJ. Here's what I’ve done over the last 2 weekends. 1) Welding a patch on the inner arch on the driver side. 2) Waterproof the back 'hatch' and the roof 3) New wheels and tyres 4) New fuel tank and fuel lines 5) Ser...

Selecting and fitting a winch.

Hi. I'm looking to fit a winch on my 1989 SJ 410 Samurai. I have found this one on eBay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251200249161?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 I think it should be more than enough for the SJ, according to the Haynes manual it weighs approximately 990kg, which...

Replacing brake pipes

Hi guys. Over the weekends i'll be doing some jobs on the suzuki at work (It's handy having a workplace with pits which are exactly the right width for a suzuki and nice maneger!). Have anybody got some tips on replacing brake pipes? I've got all of the bits. I'm planning on replacing more or less e...

1.6 Engine into a SJ410

I've been thinking of swapping the 1 litre engine out of my SJ410 with a 1.6 Vitara engine. I'm not going to do it any time soon; I’ll probably do it next year after my insurance has come down a bit. What I’d like to do is gather all of the bits, and refurbish all of them before putting them in. So ...

Re: Mystical black boxes...

Cool, i just wanted to make sure! I'd rather buy a £30 part then having to do buy a much more expensive bit as it's been fried by not plugging the relay in!
Thanks

Re: Mystical black boxes...

Hi,
The relay i bought off eBay arrived the other day and the connector is diffrent! Just by luck!
It then started to work without the relay plugged in. I was wondering, would this dammage some other component if i just use them without the relay plugged in?
Thanks
