So where can you get the removable hard top roods? Are they made by aftermarket manufacturers or do you just hope they pop up on ebay and the like?
Many Thanks

Pickup Conversion, using pieces of a Hard top shell.
When I bought my 1989 soft top SJ410 Santana it had already been converted to a pickup cab. The job was a good one, several years ago, with wood :screwy: :bawling:. It is now starting to leak and the wood on the roof and back of the cab is rotten. I have seen pictures of the rear 6 inches of ...

Re: Propshaft info
I took the prop shaft off over the weekend. The slightly worn bit I was talking about, it's not much compared to the other end. I failed to notice it when observing the other end, there was too much mud and grease filling it in. http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h356/huweinionjones/photo_zpsf9dc3c...

Re: Gearbox Problems.
I've previously had a Toyota Avensis and a Vauxhall Astra van, both manual, and both of which I could pre-select 1st whilst approaching a junction, even if I was doing more than 15 mph. When I tried to do the same with my SJ it didn't like it. Curiously, I somehow managed to fix the problem of it no...

Gearbox Problems.
I've just spent all day replacing UJs, patching some holes and repairing a cracked exhaust manifold. The jobs went ok. I did find that i will need to replace the rear prop. There is a big chunk missing from the yoke on the prop (the bearing is a bit loose because of it). I've ordered a second hand o...

Re: Huw's '89 SJ 410
Well, faith hope and a welder managed to get the car through a MOT! woohoo!! With only a worn rear UJ as an advisory. I've done some odds and ends to the car. But some jobs have built up. So I will have a go at most this weekend. I had a few hours spare on Sunday, and since it was nice warm weather ...

Exhaust Manifold
Hi guys, I'm looking for a SJ 410 exhaust manifold, would anyone happen to have one they could part with? My current one has been cracked for a while, and it's just started to 'whistle' so it's getting on my nerves! Would a SJ 413 part fit the 410 engine? I'd like to repair it, but i don't want to r...

Re: Time to build some bumpers
When the bumper fell off my mate's Landy when he was doing about 20-30 mph. He scrapped the old one and went into the steel stores at work. He came out with a piece of 6 inch mild steel channel which had about 3/8th thick walls. He replaced both front and back. If something hits him / he hits someth...
