I used the metal case from my old pc case suitably bashed flat of course..grind off paint on edges where welding is going to take place ...did the drivers footwell with it.....slightly thicker than original floor metal but it welded in okay with my MIG..grind off paint from edges where welding is go...

Okay always wondered...the 5th gear comes in handy on motorways...unless there is a headwind

When i first got my 413 Suzuki the rear springs were very dry squeaky as well so i thought i would lace a couple of cable ties between the leaves at the ends this did the trick no more squeaks..it lasted for quite a while as well similar i guess to some springs that have a nylon button in the same ...

There was a special thinners needed to clean brushes on the earlier hammerite paints but now tin says white spirit.....i always use cellulose thinners anyway.......
