Decided to spruce up the Suzuki's steel wheels....derusted first then 2 coats of Hammerite white smooth paint...did this last about 3 years ago but plenty of the red stuff showing again......
i wonder what others paint their wheels with ?????? if at all

Just been reminded of a episode with friends Suzuki 413....he loves Redex in his vehicles.....so he thought he would put a squirt into each cylinder while plugs were out.....on startup lots of blue smoke as one can expect ..it turned over quite slow before starting i noticed.....off he went but only...

It appears the camshaft runs directly in the head ...no replaceable shells so if worn a new head is needed......is this not very unusual ???????

Have noticed last couple of weeks piston slap for a few minutes after startup till it warms up ...
do not suppose it will do any harm....hope not anyway.......

On the odd occasion i have seen 80 mph on the clock in 5th gear..but it felt very unstable
65 mph its comfortable though.....

I guess its the treatment the engine gets in its life....i never let it slog in a gear..not too happy about the wife driving it though since her Escort mk2 is off the road..

My 413j has done 91 thousand miles always change the filter /oil about every 3 thousand miles
no smoke uses little oil ....what mileage do these engines generally last to before trouble looms ?

Will need 2 front tyres for my sj413 195x15 there are many on sale that are retread ones
as my speed is not generally much over 60mph would these be safe to buy...new tyres are in the 70 to 85 pound bracket..
