Because apart from dubious so called running s/hand engine units (think we have all experienced these)
he is not up to that exercise.....previous owner completely neglected the vehicle.

Big ends knocking badly....very smokey no psi on no.2 cylinder body seems quite good...looked in all usual places

Thought i would do the top of suzuki door where the paint had cracked....... as usual using course then gradually to fine paper..then grey undercoat...all looking good no high or low spots .....final white paint and then it was obvious the paint had sunk ...... so did the whole lot again...same resu...

Hi Mike, What year is your van/Samuri ?????? mines a 1986 vintage but nowhere as rust eaten as yours apart from drivers front floor/rear corners both sides....you must have spent a great deal of time doing all that work.....i congratulate you mate.......and i was moaning because i needed to replace ...

CORRECT WHEEL CYLINDERS
Had a drama getting the right type rear wheel cylinders for my Jap built Samuri sj 413 1986
after a few false starts (wrong cylinder supplied) i found the right one and for anyone benefit it is BWH291 ....exactly the same as the original unit much longer than the later types.

Well old cylinder reinstalled on backplate at least i can get back to them with the wrong cylinder cleaned the rust from piston, bore looked good but smeared red brake grease on piston with rust removed from piston it now slides freely in the bore.....which it did not before......5 mile test and flu...

Will do just that...hope the cylinder they sold me is the correct one as i no longer have the use of our Escort mk2..it decided that 140 thousand miles was enough and threw out no2 compression ring flatbed back from Hastings jim Wrong wheel cylinder different length body shorter and no bleed nipple...
