Re: 2002 TD Blue smoke and hesitation at 3000rpm

Thanks for the reply.
Will have a look at that tomorrow if I can.

Are these turbos the same as fitted to peugeots with the RHZ engine? Been looking on ebay and seems like it would be cheaper to get one from a pug.

Re: Winter Tyres for road use not off road

My Gv is on a set of insa turbos and I haven't noticed any difference on a normal wet road as far as handling, noise and grip goes but you really notice the difference in the snow. If they're available in the right size then they might be a better option. I got mine for about £60 a tyre. If you only...

2002 TD Blue smoke and hesitation at 3000rpm

Hello My 2002 GV has been going into limp mode occasionally and wont rev past 2500. Usually this is come up as a throttle position sensor fault and its usually fine when I clear the code. I suspect this is down to someone doing a bodge job on it since the wires going to the throttle position sensor ...

Re: Limp Mode Help Please

I have this one

http://www.obd2tool.co.uk/wholesale/aut ... eader.html

Its very basic but its cheap and does the job. Dont expect anything fancy, it'll give you the codes and freeze frame data and not much else. But thats usually all you need.

Rear brake problem

I wonder if someone could help me with this problem. My 01 Grand vitara developed a knocking noise from one of the back wheels a while ago. When I opened up the drum to inspect I saw that the two C-shaped retaining springs that hold the shoes in position where completely slack. The shoe was not sitt...

Ah well. I see some going for less than £20 on ebay so may as well get one.
Thanks for checking for me

Next question, OBD1 or OBD2?

Re: RHZ Engine Fault Codes

Is there no way to get the codes without?
I know in the RF manual it gives instructions to get the code without the scanner, nothing similar for the RHZ?
Cheers

Re: Grand vitara transfer box problems

I wonder if something got bent during the impact? Yep. I checked everything and lever was well clear of the transmission tunnel. Eventually I broke the knobbly bit on the end of the lever in my frustration. Ordered a new one and the knobbly bit is a completely different shape, voila! The case must ...
