Re: What Did You Do To Your SJ Today?

Re: What Did You Do To Your SJ Today?

The back end is too low compared to the front, the castor angle will be miles away and it didn't drive "well" before

Re: What Did You Do To Your SJ Today?

removed my broken spring packs and made some hybrids out of Bedford springs and my original top and bottom leaves.....Its now lower than it was on the broken ones!

Ordered an Add a Leaf from LLama and I'm looking to see if I have any thicker leaves kicking about to try make it a bit more firm.

Re: Nothing is ever simple!

Re: Nothing is ever simple!

something was holding them back, they would spin around the half shaft but not come off! Ill check again for the circlip but they seemed to be stuck further back than the end of the shaft if you know what I mean.

Nothing is ever simple!

Had my Sammy axles on for a couple of outings now, decided to put the freewheeling hubs off my 413 axles, only to find they appear to be behind the bearing/axle bolts. So i now need to buy a fecking huge (51mm??) socket to remove them. My other option, as I'm convinced there is some play in the king...

Re: What are people doing for tool/parts storage.

Just bought myself a 24" Ammo Crate off eBay so hopefully that will do, Ill have to get a small toolbag to stick sockets etc in to stop them rattling around. I think I'll ratchet strap it down rather than bolt so its slightly more removable. Also got a 800mm cargo net that I'm going to attach t...

Re: What are people doing for tool/parts storage.

I always seal it with PU so moisture isn't too much of an issue, plus I never go wading properly to actually get it wet.

Ply is too dear around this way to be bothered with only planning on this costing about £15 and an hour of my time

What are people doing for tool/parts storage.

As title really. I'm planning on building an MDF box for tools, straps and odds and sods like water etc etc. Anyone else done similar or just bolted a tool box to the floor?
