Hi people I've managed to start work on the sj, its only taken 6 months!! lol! so I've replaced all the lift shackles to standard removed a few leafs from the rear springs so they are now even, it still has this nasty z bar arrangement for the steering, and the lock is terrible especially when on fu...

ok thanks yes i think its been about, I've been looking at the steering conversion your talking about and i have also been looking at the hi steer kit from rs engineering although pricey. whats a wrap bar? i still have the coil springs from the front but the last owner removed them for some reason. ...

thanks andy I'm pretty new to this so learning. my other sj has spring under axle and rears up front which works really well. could i keep the spoa and also have bedford rascal rears upfront would it be a good combo? or just go back to stock springs and shackels? i have a set of 2"inch shackles...

thanks for all the help everyone!! i looks like it needs a complete re think with the suspension seems a shame because someone has put a lot of time into this truck with the diesel engine conversion and the paint jobs been done well, seems as though the suspensions just been done wrong, someones sug...

SPOA flex

hi
I've just bought this sj which has a spoa lift but has bad articulation can anything be done to improve this, whats stopping it flexing?? the front shocks have been removed so its just on leaf springs.

Hi Scottie thanks for replying to me, i have now got it going for some reason unknown to me we put an jump lead onto the earth on the battery and the other end onto the engine and it started then took the jump lead away and it starts fine,(strange old thing). i tried disconnecting the lead from star...

I've managed to get in the workshop for a few hours last night, tweaked the mixture screw a bit but nothing changed!, I've put all new ignition parts on i.e. coil plugs leads rotor arm, which has cured the misfire, now it smokes less on idle but it pours out under load. wonder if it just needs start...
