When you said you checked the plugs have you checked to see if you have a spark? Is the fuel pump working? You'll see fuel in the filter when you crank the engine over. Is there fuel in the tank? Can't help with the immobiliser sorry. Yes, I had a plug out and rested against the block but no spark....

Hello, I am starting to look at my Vitara JX again, after an unexpected extended break as my neck operation didn't go according to plan. Anyway, basically it won't start. The fuel wasn't that old, the car had been used a couple of weeks before the no start issue. I don't think the fuel pump is working, so I'm going to strip down the intake and check if any fuel is being injected into the engine. Progress is slow as I have slipped discs in my neck, so energy to climb ...

Hi,
Problems starting. It's been fine up until last week, although we only use it infrequently. Turns over but doesn't fire, so a wiring diagram would help. Seems like the immobiliser but I did measure 12V on the distributor plug that switches with the ignition.
