Re: Fuel pump connections
The diameter of the pipes might be the biggest help. I'd say the smallest one will be return? Leaving only two to guess about. I would agree that the one facing us probably goes to the carb. But why not do a test? Crank the engine over and stick your thumb on the pipes. See which one sucks.

Lj vin de-code.
Hey guys. Does anyone know of a method of decoding the vin number of an lj? I've seen lots of decoders for other makes and model of car, but never come across one for the LJ. I'm interested in knowing the exact year of manufacture as I'm not 100% sure the v5 is correct. I'm also generally interested...

Re: LJ80 Recommissioning.
I haven't updated this for aages, but don't fear as I still have the LJ and have still been making progress (very, very slow progress) I was all geared up to repair and make good of the (incorrect) rear quarters, until I started pulling tons of body filler from them and then lost faith. So I changed...

Nice one! Looks good. I did the mongol rally in 2018, best experience of my life. I saw a couple of suzuki doing it that year (410, lj80, jimny). Made it far too easy for them imo.
