Pro comp steering damper

Im after a pro comp steering damper for my sj, does any one know the best place to get one from?
86 SJ413 tin top, 1.6 8v, SU carb, YJ spring conversion, virtual lift, 33x12.5x15 KL71's, rocklobster, rear discs, power steering.

as he said, I think jordi used a rough country one on his project, It looks exactly the same to me.......

I did see them on Llama 4x4, but it says its for a jimny. Dose he sell sj ones aswell, or are they both the same??

I think its the same damper. The instructions are for jeeps it doesnt say sj anywhere on it but it is same thing as the procomp pretty much.

If you just get the damper here is how i mounted mine, keeps it out of harms way :mrgreen:

Also, having it bolted from the steering to the axle without keeping the standard item should
*technically* be an MOT failure... it's supposed to be attached to a non-moving part i.e. chassis

My mates have gotten into a habit of cutting the vitara damper mounts off and welding them to the inside of the passenger side chassis rail...

Sorry twiss, but that isn't correct, I even just phoned my dad who has been an mot tester for 30+ years to verify.
Plus on a landrover the steering damper is attached to the axle as standard.

They failed my SJ on the MOT cos of it...
Just looked on my old cert and it failed as:
"steering component is not secure to vehicle structure"

This just proves how unspecific the MOT is!

"yeah we don't like this guy lets fail it on as much stuff as possible"

Man thats bullshit, so in effect they are saying that every landrover should fail every MOT
