Erm... RW still has my manifold. The 1.6 is still on the garage floor.

So not quite.

Just looked for this thread to make sure i had everything i needed.

Then realised i'm only two months behind where i thought i would have been by now. Everything is still sat on the garage floor.

Where does the time go?

It took some time waiting for parts to arrive and the main thing was time.

I worked all one weekend. Had billing the next weekend. Worked all the following weekend. Spent last weekend in London. Haven't got a clue what this weekend holds.

I have everything now and last week in May off.

I noticed at some point i'd said "have it done in a weekend", shame all the weekends have dissapeared. I'll get i all done that week!

Dropping a few bits off at a local engineeing firm to get cut and drilled for some other mods i'm gonna try and get done that week too. Reinforcing and recovery points.

Then before July it's due MOT and tax. My MOT won't recognise it. Only major original components left from last MOT will be the axles. Rest of the drive line, wheels/tyres and suspension will have been changed.

If these blocks are so identical why don't the mounts line up?

Other than redriling drivers side is there anything that can be done to get them to line up?

I just redrilled it. You can use a spreader plate but theres not much point in the effort. I just remove the c spreader from o/s and drill a single hole.

Use all sammy mounts. One will need the hole elongating slightly to fit block and a little notch cut out to allow proper fitting of 1300 clutch cable bracket.
