F10D Specs

Hi everyone.
I have a Suzuki Alto 2004 as a daily driver.
I think it has blown a headgasket and as I have to pull the engine apart (well, take off the head at least), I'm wondering if I should replace the timing belt. The timing belt thats on it right now was changed just before I got the car, and is a long way from the 100.000km mark. So should be good, right?
Does anyone know if the
F10D is an interference engine? If it isn't, I wont worry about the timing belt.
Also can anyone confirm that the torque values for the head bolts is:
1: 30Nm
2: 48Nm
3: 0Nm
4: 48Nm
5: 60Nm
Also, does anyone know if the bolts are "stretch bolts"? Or can they be reused?
Thanks.

welcome to the club!
if it was me id change the belt just out of precaution, because if it snapps its not a good situation to be in. but I know a lot of people who will just put it back on if it looks ok.
as for the bolts im not overly sure if they are stretch bolts or not

Thanks.. hoping someone can shed some light on this, as I will be attempting the "operation" in a very near future
The thing that I am most interested in, is if it is an interference engine.. If it isn't, then I can go right ahead, and fix the engine.. if it is.. then I will change the timing belt

The F10a is non interference. I dont know exactly how much design is shared between the two though.

The F10D is a mystery to me. I would like to know more about it but I can't find much information.

I can tell you that the F10a and
F10d do share the same block, the
F10d is just bored out more than the F10a (a=65.5mm d=68.5mm) and
stroke is the same (72.00mm) but the heads are different and it all all depends whether or not the pistons have cut-outs for valve clearance or not. Being a hi compression engine (10:1) I would imagine they use flat top pistons so it probably will be interference. For the small price of a timing belt and tensioner I would change it just to be on the safe side.
As for if they use stretch head bolts or not I'm not sure? looking at the tightening sequence they might be the old f8 and f10 don't use stretch bolts but they also don't have a 5 step tightening sequence
Sorry I can't be much more help, I'm not familiar with the
F10d as it was never fitted to a suzuki 4x4 (well until someone on here finally decides to do the swap
)
