Mmmm, it overlaps a bit, but I don't use it as my actual tank is in the rear.

I'm sure with a little trimming it could be removed.

Thanks, Leave it alone if you don't use it!

IIRC a guy on Pirate fitted it in same position and used a heat gun to create a curve in the right place.

Also, I read somewhere about guys replacing the supplied metal screws for the wheel arches with plastic ones so that if the wheel arch gets a big clout, the plastic threads strips instead of ripping the mounting point on the arch extension. Have seen several knackered ones like this. Will see if I can find it.

Oh I am leaving it, don't worry.

When I said you could trim I was meaning for you or others who need to access it.

I bought a load of plastic number plate screws to fit mine. I still have a bit of a mix of fasteners at the moment.
1. Some of the holes are blind so I couldn't fit a nut on the plastic bolts.
2. The large head pop rivets I've used and had available were of a certain length.
3. I used large self tappers where the above wasn't possible.

I like, and didn't think of the weld on nut, or thinking about it you can get pop rivet type nuts. Another good possible solution.

Rivnuts are the best thing ever for mounting things like arches, panels and small mounts etc. my roof is held on using them, transmission tunnel cover and gator surrounds etc. loads of little things.

I just have a cheapo rivnut tool like this http://bit.ly/1dNqCNf

Best to use aluminium rivnuts with it though.
