Where best to get universal joint?

Post by ferris » Fri Sep 18, 2009 5:51 pm

Does any one know a good place to get universal joints from?

One of mine appears to be knackered, and is causing a annoying juddering.

Cheers

Yep Bearing suppliers best place although to identify them you may have to do some acurate measuring of dimensions.

If your interested I may have a spare one that I could send.
The same UJ element fits some very old shaft driven pumps where I work, and we keep several spare elements
It' a 4x4 why not drive it across a field

Got round to changing the uj earlier. What a bloody nightmare!!! Ended up having to angle grind the old one off, then all the pins fell out of the new one

All done now though, although there is still a bit of a judder, so there might be another one on its way out. Should be easier the second time round.........i hope
