What winch did you buy? Sounds way overkil for a little Zuki at 45kg

A 13,000lb Superwinch. Brand new with 2 years guarantee, cheapest and strongest one I could find. The other LJ has a Superwinch too, I forget what weight.

That's super overkill for an LJ/Sj, only need 6-9000lbs really.
I'm very weight concious with my zuki's that's why I like the warrior 9500SD, it's small and only around 20kg with a plasma rope. When I build the buggy I want a centre mounted vector winch set up so I can pull forward or backwards using the same winch. If I can afford it I would love a redwinch cobra...only 33kg without rope, think 8274s are around 50kg.

Well here's a pic anyway! Guess I can pull out 2 cars at a time lol. Think I'll run a second battery to cope with all this...

I've almost finished making the binnacle for the extra gauges and some switches. Hoping to get some more major work done tomorrow.

Ah a winchmax, my mate had one of those. It was fine until he started dunking it on a regular basis so make sure you keep on top of maintenance if it ends up under water a lot  apart from that seemed like a good winch, just not as waterproof as some.

The LJ is rather tall so I'm hoping that won't happen! Just waiting on a new prop and she goes and gets muddy...very muddy!

Ended up helping my mate fix his BMW today, but Piglet 5 is now at my garage awaiting some final touches.

It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out

Only minor jobs to do on the blue one, little paint touch ups here and there, make some rubber carpet like I did in P6, fit the cb and radio aerial and underseal the places we welded up. Oh, new glass for the speedo and get the cb working. Think that's it!

Wasn't going to post this pic but it is funny...sheesh I look like a total dork...
