double din unit in 2002 gv sport

Post by Ginger_boy » Thu Jan 15, 2015 9:05 pm

have been toying with the idea for a couple of years of fitting a double din DVD/GPS unit in the space left when you remove the radio clock and pocket from the Mk 1 dash. As it's a soft top and the alarm at the moment doesn't work was thinking a cheap version like a eonon reviews seem ok. Has anyone done this and where there any problems :er:

Double DIN doesn't have a standard size fascia so I would recommend that you measure up and then select a head unit and fascia adapter that will suit. try aliexpress.com for the fascia adapter.

We'll I dug out my old surround and had a measure 183mmx102mm seems that most dd units are 170mm wish x100mm so I think it probably would fit.
