virtual lift?

Post by 1995 Zuk » Fri Jan 23, 2015 12:12 pm

Hi,
I am quite new to lifting / modding etc.
What id meant by a virtual lift?
How is it achieved?

I know about creating lift by adding longer shocks springs / body lifts etc.

Cheers
and thanks
PS don't laugh to much at me.

I'm aiming to do this myself shortly but Scottie is really the man to tell you more about it.

A virtual lift basically involves the raising of the rear arches up inside the floor, and providing similar clearance to the front arches. This essentially allows more articulation of the axles without having to distance them from the body i.e. introducing lift.

This means you can maintain a lower center of gravity whilst enjoying greater articulation without anything clashing.

You can get a better idea from the pictures in Trotters build thread:

Technically it's not a lift, but it got the nickname because it allows you to fit larger tyres that will lift your vehicle.
