super cheap parts surprise!

Post by twiss » Wed Feb 18, 2015 5:58 pm

Broke another UJ today so I got fed up of putting cheap ones in...
(Haven't found a place that does decent sealed UJs yet)

Went to one of the Suzuki maruti parts guys here... There seems to be one at each end of the island!

They don't really have samurai parts so I bought myself a brand new gypsy (lwb 410) prop shaft to steal the shorter part as my long section is still in good nick.

Got the whole genuine prop shaft including new UJs for €100.... About £75 in real money.
Prices this cheap implies to me that Suzuki in england charge even worse prices than I thought!!!

Will get the long section shortened properly into an extended front prop to match my lift :)

you might have to find out the price on a set of brake drums and backplates for me, as they want silly money for them around here, even second hand ones are around the 100GBP!
It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out

Which drums and backplates are they?
I assume the jap drums with a big lip around the outside...
Do they have handbrake built in?

no handbrake on them, but yes they are jap, but sounds like dan might have a set, so I should be fine
