Please show me LJ80 model range
I am a LJ80 virgin. Just started taking an interest (blame Scottie) so first thing I would like to know is what are all the LJ model variants? Did look through this forum for the nswer.

Hello, Also a virgin until a couple of months ago but now used and abused. Three types of LJs, the softtop (Mine) the tintop ( van or estate) or pickup. All originaly fitted with a massive 800cc engine.Cyprus Geoff wrote:I am a LJ80 virgin. My mate found his tintop in Limassol and when looking at it saw that there was also a softtop. Of course we had to have both of them.
There was also a LJ 50. But I know very little about them. Came out before the LJ 80 and had an even smaller engine , some a two stroke engine.?
Have fun.

There's only really 3 variations of the lj80
The soft top, tin top and then the lj81, like the SJ kja but with an LJ body
Best place to have a read is on lj10.com

They had about three different two stroke engines in Japan - I think - gradually getting bigger, then they switched to the water cooled F8A
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

I only recently found out that those damn Argies got LWB LJ80s. Yes I said LWB LJ80.
I might have to go down there next year on a shopping trip. They have loads of nice 81s
Here are some adverts.... Save the pics while you can

Although on second glance they are different and could be bespoke. Either way I want one or both.
