Most people fit bike carbs so that the engine can rev until the valves can't shut fast enough. Gives you peak power rather than bottom end torque.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

I have a SJ that I am currently rebuilding for solely for off road purposes.I am wanting to do something different with a engine swap & use what I have on hand .my current answer is a Subaru justy 3cylinder 12valve 1200cc EF12 engine.producing 80hp std & the internet says up to 130hp with standard internals.another site said that this engine started its life as a Suzuki & has a common bellhousing fitment with the G13a that was also used in the Subaru justy.has anyone been down this path.another option I had thought about was to leave the cvt transmission on it,& drive to the Suzuki transfer case ,producing a low ratio vehicle with a cvt trans.feedback time on this idea please

The Justy CVT will be a front wheel drive box so it won't work in an SJ. The Justy engine may well be a bigger version of the old 1 litre 3-cyl Suzuki engine, but at 1200cc it sounds like 3/4 of a G16 engine. The biggest problem with a Justy engine is usually the distributor sticking out the end which will foul the bulkhead when used in a North-South configuration.

I understand the distributor issue ,would solve that with a G13 & justy mixed unit as like the G13B.as far as the FWD trans I would weld the spinders & only run from rear out put.so hi transfer box would be low rayio& low transferbox would be super low.if the engine is moved forward becasuse 3cylinder is shorter I think the fwd unit may fit.but it would be nice/different having a cvt in a zuki
