Diff oils etc.

What do people generally use for diff and transmission oils, whether or not you use 75/80 or 80/90, I've always been lead to believe that GL5 should be used for diffs and GL4 for gearbox and tranny box, but the other day I had my first glance at the Haynes book of pork pies at a mates house and it stated GL5 across the board, so what's peeps preffered choices.

vitara's need sae 80w90 gl4 in the gearbox because they have 'yellow metals' in them, gl5 for the tbox and difs. On an sj sae 80w90 gl5 (ep90) is fine in diffs, tbox and gearbox.
