Can someone help me out here?
I know a few people have dropped the 90s version of the Isuzu/Vauxhall td engine into there zooks
But I got a slightly newer (2001) 1.7 dti engine in my old van that's going in for scrap this week.
I want to keep the engine, its pretty low miles, been remaped and has FSH on it, I've put 40k miles on it and its been fine.
Does anyone know if I can drop it into my Vitara bay ? And what parts I need to have it running (gearbox wise)
I know I'm going to need mounts made up but just want to know if its even possible.
Thanks

Re: Vauxhall/Isuzu DTI Engine Conversion.
I think you will have to use a Vauxhall gearbox to fit it in... there is a gearbox flange to mount the pug diesel onto the vitara gearbox, but not the vauxhall engines

take the engine and box out of the van and chop the bellhousing off the box and take it to a decent ally welders/ fabricators along with the vit box and have them mate it up, thats how my converion has been done and its spot on
