what do you reckon on price guys?

So this sj 410 was built up as most of you saw on the build tread from the ground up for the mongol rally, a rally it ended up not doing. we may have to sell the car now as 3 of us built it and we have no use for it really.

no idea what its worth in its current condition:

Image

a vague list of what's on and in the car:

rebuilt 1.3 engine with new clutch with less than 500 miles on both rebuild included all seals and bearings as well as a newly rebuilt su carb with ally inlet manifold. new rad and hoses, electric fan on variable thermostat in the cab

rust free body due to extensive rebuild as seen in build thread, id like to say to a very high standard but down to your idea, this included a 2/3 inch virtual lift including new inner arches in the rear, extended rubber arches to cover the 31" x 10 x15 bf goodrich tyres with 2 spare tyres not bf though. 3 " body lift on nylon blocks with new stainless steel bolts.

armoured fuel tank modified from the original to prevent crushing, new brake lines and painted chassie, rear disco conversion and rebuilt axles both front and back both painted and cleaned up running braided break hoses.

safari roof rack with 4 led spot lights, one on each corner wired individually to a switch on the passenger dash, this was done to save power if we only needed one light on, these lights are also wired for remote so can be turned on individually from a far. Jerry can mount which holds and locks 4 x 20Lt jerry cans in with padlock.

running a twin battery set up with split charger and battery isolator when ignition is off. all accessories wired to aux batteries to prevent loss of power. Twin ditgital battery volt meter on the dash for individual battery read out

interior is splt to seat 3 with rear divided into storage and rear seat, including a drop down 2 foot by 3 foot tail gate as a work table/ access to the roof.

behind the drivers seat is a main fuse board where all wiring was run to, this included 3 on board radio chargers which will be taken out leaving 3 blank power outs as well as a laptop charger. all hidden away out of site behind a secret wooden panel. loud 120db air horn,

front bucket seats one with a repair patch, interior led lights all around the roof, rear horse box window for the rear passenger.

paintwork was scotch padded and then lacquered to leave the look of shit to try and prevent it from sticking out haha

bad points: no speedo

im sure ive missed bits so if you have any questions just ask. Not sure what it is worth and will take more pictures when needed. people usually ask to much when they have put the effort in but this car has been built from the ground up for a trip across the world which it never did.

so what do you reckon price wise?

cheers guys

It's worth what someone is prepared to pay on the day you sell it. A lot of work has gone into it but to get top dollar that needs a respray in my opinion. Does it have an MOT?

Way I see it you have 2 choices...take a risk and get the body sorted and resprayed then list it on an auction site...or don't bother with the paint and list it as is.

Be sure to list all of the cars features and if you have reciepts for parts/work done that always helps. I would advise against putting a reserve price as with lower price vehicles it puts a lot of people off..if the sale is nearing the end and you ain't getting near the price you want, withdraw it.

And...good luck matey!
