Hey guys could do with your expertises once again please.
i was out off roading and really pushed the Sj too far and thought i had cooked the head gasket as had lost power really bad.
i compression tested it and was getting around 100psi in each cylinder which i later found out should be 199psi with a min of 170. Its a 1.3 engine which i rebuilt about 3 months ago and only has about 500miles on the clock. The cylinders are holding compression but it is really low.
the exhaust gasket is leaking and needs changing, didnt want to change it if i then had to strip the head down and change it again?
any ideas?
cheers

Re: Engine problems, half compression
Were piston rings done in the rebuild?
If all the cylinders are the same pressure it doesn't sound like a gasket / cracked block.
