Brake servo options

Post by Gilly_SJ » Sun Mar 06, 2016 9:28 pm

I've a 1986 SJ and the servo won't hold vacuum. I'm having a hard time finding one off an SJ so are there any other options? A vitara or something?

That does look the same.

i connected mine up as I was sick of not actually being able to stop and despite not holing vacuum it improved the brake effort ten fold! The white pipe attachment is loose tho so could be that rather than a bad diaphragm.

Could be as simple as the o ring where the master cylinder is fitted.

I've never had any major issues with brake servos failing.

It does look a tad weepy actually. I may take it off and clean it up. F**king starter motor is squealing and struggling now so I'm going to buy a snorkel kit to cheer myself up.

Shiny car parts always cheer us up.

Got a boat load at home to fit. Hopefully the next week or two will see them fitted, fingers crossed.

Yeah, buying parts for the same price / more than you paid for the zuk becomes a common thing.

Worth every penny!
