Hi guys,
My SJ410 is just bare metal in the back but i wanted to add some form of 'door cards' (if i can call it that) over the wheel arches and flush with the body. Has anyone here built and storage in the back of their soft top SJ? I'm looking for ideas and also what was originally there so i can figure out mounting options.
Many thanks

I used the 2 x original hardboard 'panels' as templates and re-built using faux dark gray vinyl stapled over 6mm plywood and fixed using S/S black self tappers.
If you get stuck, I can post you some correct size paper templates

I'm thinking about lining mine, and then putting the card on a hinge to make storage...

Mine doesn't rot, I cured all the rot back there a long time ago, and I keep an eye on it!
SherwoodNash: I was thinking of keeping a full toolkit back there one side and spare fluids, bulbs and fuses, and a jack the other side. Maybe even some spare parts - a pair of driveshafts for breakages when offroad might be cool!
Like you say, there's masses of room behind there!

There would be in yours if it wasn't all dented and bashed up, probably lost quite a bit of space thereAnton wrote:Like you say, there's masses of room behind there!
