On my Vitara i use just a basic and ultra cheap set of deep tread van tyres, good road holding which is what most of the truck is used on,and also its never let me down when the going gets tough on muddy fields.

Much prefer to just use my Vit and i will say its been my most reliable car ever it just keep working,it may last just a couple of more years but then i will buy a 'brand' new Jimny that should last me a few years then, albeit i will that magical V6 engine that is in the Vitara.

My 413 was a reliable old bus as well but very agricultural as a every day use car,but the Jimny does have some amazing off road ability but also some superb creature comforts as well, prehaps its because i am not as young as i once was.

I like the insa Sahara's too, I have Greenway Macho's on my SJ413K which is the same tread pattern. I fancied something different this time for the SJ410 but they are a good shout. Do you think the Tyres in the picture links above are 195/80/15 size? Thanks for the advice, it's all really useful.

Some of the trucks here in malta have those tyres... I thought they were old cross-ply types? Instead of radial.

I had some exactly like that on a rental zook here and found they were good for nothing apart from turning into smoke!

195/80r15 are around 27" tall so not much taller than stock, they will fit straight on with no mods.

The insa special tracks stand about 29" tall, or my old ones did
Sid James gone but never forgotten
Jimny 1.6 not as good as an SJ but still good

Thanks guy's your help was much appreciated. It looks like ill keep the ride height standard but maybe look for something chunky but a little less extream than the Insa special tracks.
