Need help to fit my radiator as its too big how has everyone done there's as there is not enough room between the chassis and steering box yes ok running powersteering
Can it be fitted like this close to the engine about 1/2 away from the pulleys ect or is that too tight might be a bugger o change the belts I know
Or can it be fitted like this not a upright so it can miss hitting the bonnet I know I have to cut a small hole in the bonnet for the cap
Show me how you done yours thanks

Re: Help fitting a 1.6 rad in sj
Mine is fitted using the original viscous fan with power steering fitted also. It's tight but can be done.
I dog legged the passenger side bracket and made an adapter plate for the drivers side one.
You can see some photos here http://forum.suzukiclubuk.co.uk/vi ... &start=100
I also fitted my PS pump in a different position so it clears the rad mount and made the bracket collapse further so I still run the same length belt for my Alternator and PS pump so only have to carry one spare.
The PS pump mod is somewhere else in the build either a few pages before or after the one I linked to.

Slipping too much? Do you mean sloping? I have no issues whatsoever, you can mount rads at quite an angle as long as the cap is the highest point in the system, even if it's not you just need to add a way of bleeding the air out at the highest point.
