I didn't do snatch recoveries with the tow bar, only just small pulls. If thinks looked too stuck I would use the winch.

You could bolt/weld some tabs on the side made out of 8-10mm plate with 25mm holes to put shackles through.
Or maybe something like these bolted on to the shackle reverse towers could work https://www.famousfour.co.uk/new_parts/ ... ?part=8468
You might want to reinforce the chassis rails if you do either of those though, the chassis rails are thin and I've seen many bumpers etc rip the bolt holes out during heavy recoveries.
It's a shame you can't really sleeve the chassis rails when that conversion is fitted.
