Post by SlimGrim » Sat Oct 15, 2016 2:20 pm

Ages ago I bought a new gear knob, now I'm drying to get the old one off the whole gear stick spins and I'm just mangling up the old gear knob :/

Heat, best 'got to' tool there is for an SJ, 5 mins with a hairdryer and gloves should do it.

Turns out the key to success is a second pair of hands haha, duct tape round the shaft to provide some grip, one pair of molegrips on the shaft and one on the ball & success!! The one I have fitted is this: will provide an in car photo later :)
