Very fast idle speed when lights or heater on, normal?
My samurai idle's really nicely and quietly up until I turn on the lights or heater, at which point it starts to idle really rather fast, the fun/scary part is feeling the accelerator go down under my foot as I turn either thing on haha, however it is a Royal pain in the dick when in slow traffic because what would normally be about 6miles an hour in first with my foot off the clutch will instead be more like 10-11mph and so I'm constantly jumping between clutch & brake :/ is this normal and just a Suzuki quirk? It is also making my fuel economy absolutely shit eh n in traffic

There is an idle up system on the carb that will apply some throttle with electrical load. You could just unplug it though. Not sure which plug it is...
Not the big green one which I think is the fuel shut off solenoid.
It shouldnt rev it up that much, just 200rpm or so I think
My SU doesn't have idle up, and gets along just fine

Doing this screw in should limit the rpm increase.

Or as Twiss says, see how she behaves with it unplugged.

On my old SJ someone had put a switch in to turn the idle up on and off
Sid James gone but never forgotten
