2001 Jimny wheel size

Post by TyZuk » Wed Nov 09, 2016 9:15 pm

Hi there, don't suppose anyone could help? I'm looking to buy new wheels and tires for my Jimny, tire size being - 205/70R15C, however after looking at websites, i've noticed they have different depth sizes, which the tire size (i don't think) show.
I know i need 15", but will I need 7" depth, or 8"??

Hope I've made myself clear enough aha, any help would be great, thanks!

On the steels, stick with 205 70 15, or if you want a little more, go for 215 75 15

What wheels are you looking at, I've got a smashing set of alloys, but the offset is too high, and they are too wide :(

haha, they sit outside the wheel arches, and will catch as soon as i put tyres on, unless you want to buy a 2in lift and do the VL for me, all for fre? :middelfangers: :middelfangers: :middelfangers:

what are you scared of? 235s etc will fit without lift if you do some trimming ;) plus there's nothing wrong with a tiny bit of poke

Those tyres would fit your standard wheels, the maximum width you should fit those tyres to is a 7" wide wheel, they are perfect for the original wheels that you have already.

205/75R15 (27.1"x 8.1")min rim 5 inch 'optimum' rim 5.5 inch maximum rim width 7 inch
