LAMBDA/oxygen sensor

Post by TyZuk » Sun Nov 27, 2016 10:35 am

Hi there, my 2001 Jimny's engine management light is on and I am led to believe the reason is I need a new LAMBDA sensor. It's been like it since I've had it I've just never got round to doing it, so I thought I'd ask what one would be best to buy?
Would it be best to buy a cheapy from eBay and hope for the best, or buy a legit Suzuki one but for a lot more money?
I've heard it's a common fault so anyone who's had it, let me know what you done!
Thanks

Try your nearest motor factor, they should be able to get the right one
Sid James gone but never forgotten
Jimny 1.6 not as good as an SJ but still good

Looks like they are only about £30-45 on ebay depending on model

So does it make any difference what make or whatever I get, are they just universal plugs? And what worries me is that some of them are like £100+. Would I be best to bite the bullet and just get one and hope it fits/works?

Make sure its got the same number of pins and the same plug on the end. Otherwise they should be the same.

This one says it fits 1998 - 2013 jimnys with the G13 or M13 engines.

There should be black, white and 2x grey wires for a 4 pin
Or black white and grey for a 3 pin
