hey up,
Just swapping out the tranny, had been led to believe i needed an SJ front prop for the rear of the jimny. Was given something that was supposedly said item but is clearly way too short, can anyone confirm please?
Oh, and i will be retaining an SJ propshaft drum break for future use....
Also, with the front prop it looks like i can retain my front existing one. Presume i should be able to swap the UJ end to an SJ one or do folk swap the flange off the tranny? Haven't had a look yet...
Thanks in advance...

This is interesting! Update us with the progress and the result.

Progress was slow.... Result was excellentdirk02 wrote:This is interesting! Update us with the progress and the result.
And yes to confirm it's a front sj 413/sammy mid years prop you need - the most common one.. For the rear of the jimny. If you've a big lift you'll need spacers too...
On the front i re used the jimmy front and put an sj end on it as the UJs seemed to be the same size...
As to the input shaft i couldn't tell you which one it is but i got a really short sj one and a sj medium one - it was the medium one.. Perhaps the medium one was a 410 4speed and the short a 5 speed?...
Re: SJ Transfer box in Jimny - props
If you find a late fat sj410 prop you could get away with no spacer as they are around 20-25mm longer than the 413/sammy props. I prefer to run without prop spacers if I can

I have left the drum brake on so no spacer currently.... Was thinking of using the drum in the future potentially...
