1. Removing the airbox
a. Undo the air pipe running from the Inlet Manifold to the Airbox by undoing the large jubilee clips (+ Screwdriver)
b. Remove the AirBox Sensor and allow to hang
c. Undo the three 10mm bolts that holds the airbox to the wing (10mm Socket set) Two on the left, one on the bottom onto the wing
2. Next remove the Air Chamber located in the inside of the wing
a. Two 10mm Bolts hold the chamber in, these are located on the inside of the wing by the battery
b. Jack up the vehical and remove the arch clips holding the liner in and remove the chamber
3. Clean the left wing, and the A pillar to ensure that you mark the pilot holes in the correct position
4. Offer up the template to the rear of the snorkel before attaching to your vehicle, once happy the template is the correct way, attach the template to the vehicle ensuring the instructions are followed.
5. Start by making a small pilot hole into the large hole on the template, ensure that you drill the centre!
a. Next using a Hole Cutter (76mm) start cutting the hole into the bodywork, take it slow to ensure the paintwork doesn’t catch fire – don’t ask me how!
b. Offer up the snorkel to ensure the hole is large enough
c. Drill out the rest of the holes on the template
d. Insert the “pegs” into the snorkel one by one, each time ensuring that it still fits correctly. – I found that I had to elongate the holes upwards!
6. Paint around the fresh holes that you have just made, I used matt black paint as you won’t see it, but just offers a little bit of protection from rust. HA!
7. Bolt the snorkel onto the bodywork, ensuring that it isn’t over tightened!
8. Replace the arch clips and clip the splash guard into the wheel arch
9. I used a numberplate screw with cap to securely hold the head onto the snorkel, now tighten up the jubilee to hold the head on
10. Remove the rubber ring around the airbox seal and place around the snorkel where it enters the engine bay
11. Open the airbox, locate the small drain hole at the bottom (You don’t have to seal, but ensures that it’s watertight.) Seal this will silicone or RTV Gasket in my case!

13. Replace the airbox and replace the air filter at the same time.
Note: My Air Filter is made of a fibre rather than a paper filter, it might be worth upgrading to a different filter because when paper gets wet it can start to break apart and go into your engine!
