Lateral Rod

Post by Karlroe » Sat Nov 07, 2020 9:46 am

Hi, My wife came home the other day complaining that her Vitara was wandering on the backend I checked underneath to find that the lateral rod/bar had broke off from the bolt. I've looked all over the internet for one and cannot find one anywhere. Any help or advice as to where I might get one would ne greatly appreciated. TIA

Hi Karl
So... assuming yours is a GV SQ416 this might be the part number

Image

That info taken from the online 7zap website which is a good illustrated parts catalogue.

https://suzuki.7zap.com/pt/grand+vitara ... -0-0-0/#12

There is a new one on ebay but you would have to double check that it is the correct part number.
Alternatively - sometimes there are second hand parts available on here.

Yes that's the part thanks. I'm looking at one on Ebay but it's from America and was hoping to find one in the UK if possible, but it seems they are pretty hard to find.

Sorry had meant to post link....
Unfortunately no picture but looks like genuine Suzuki part, you would have to double check with them on part number against vin,at that price - might be worth checking with local suzuki dealer ?
