1991 Santana Samurai

Purchased a 7" lamp mounting set [usually for Mini, MGB et., which needed to be modified for the Samurai.

Cut the shell with a Dremel as near to the support ring as I could and then ground the edge down till almost flat.

First stage, located outer ring positions for beam adjustment screws. 12mm diameter holes required. There are in addition 4 No fixing points.
After much measurement, remeasure, relocation drilled holes in stages, 3, 5, 8, 10mm and finished off with a file.

A number of small jobs are ongoing. Mainly trying to resolve the wiring upgrades.
Am converting indicators to LEDS and upgrading headlights with relays.

Bits of work been done. Nothing major mainly electrics.
Found windscreen washer had 2 pumps. Seems original was not replaced but inline pump put in. Outlet to that has snapped off and so I am sorting out replacement system.

Decided to replace the washer pump as it's replacement had arrived.
What a nightmare getting the old one out. Much swearing and cursing but eventually it was out.
New one was fiddly to get in but , in the end we got there!!

Headlights and front sidelight / indicators in. Wiring connections ongoing.
Brackets for spots and fogs in.
Front grill to be fixed.

I'm also just about to reinstall headlights, bumper, etc on mine.
What are those extra lights on your bumper?

Daytime running lights. Switch off when side lights come on.

Temporary fix of front grill.
It has 2 daytime running lights [DRL] as well. Coming together!!
