Anyone running fiddles?
Re: Anyone running fiddles?
A few people have tried to do that Twiss but found that they are not powerful enough to work well as fiddles. It needs to be hydraulic really, I cant see cables lasting too long without stretching if used heavily.

Re: Anyone running fiddles?
Am I surprised that Rover parts turn out to be rubbish? No

You can fit them to a road going truck scott, but they have to have their own system and calipers
Id be using them for the trials, tight turns ect. i drove a v8 rangerover thing with them on and they work well.
Twiss the rover calipers are shocking, they barley bring my sj to a halt

ah you might be right there henry, always thought they just weren't allowed full stop but i just did a bit of reading into it! looks like i'll be fitting some fiddles to the sj in the near future then well after everything else
Re: Anyone running fiddles?
They shouldnt be that hard. hardest part will be finding the right caliper
I remember reading that finding one to fit with the rover is hard, as the bled nipples need to be at the top (so you carnt mount it at the bottom) i think. but dont quote me

Re: Anyone running fiddles?
The bleed nipples can be anywhere as long as you bleed the caliper off the vehicle, it's like running vitara calipers on an sj I'll just try some vitara ones, I'm sure hey'll be big enough for the weight of an sj and 33s
I think the problem with rangerovers is that they weigh so much you need a very big caliper like front 110 ones from what I've read.
